Service Description

Join Ohana Private Car for a fantastic adventure exploring the beauty and history of the Big Island of Hawaii. Our private small group tours in a luxury van will take you on a journey to some of the most scenic and fascinating spots on the island. On our South Kona Coffee Tour, we'll pick you and up to 7 of your guests and head south toward Kealakekua Bay. Along the way, we'll stop at some amazing locations that showcase the natural and cultural beauty of this area. Our first stop is a short stroll through a lava tube, a fascinating geological formation that's a must-see for any visitor to the island. We'll also visit The Painted Church, a beautifully preserved historic church that overlooks Kealakekua Bay. Next, we'll head to a local South Kona coffee farm, where you'll enjoy a Kona coffee tour and tasting of some of the best coffee in the world. Learn about the history and process of coffee production, and savor the rich, aromatic flavors of freshly roasted beans. After coffee, we'll head to the National Historic Park Pu’uhonua O’Honaunau, also known as the Place of Refuge. This sacred ground is steeped in Hawaiian history and culture, and you'll have the opportunity to take a self-guided walking tour and learn about its significance. We'll also drive by the world-class snorkel spot called "Two Step" and then Kealakekua Bay, where you'll see Captain Cook's Monument and hear the story of his fateful encounter with the Hawaiian people. Please note that the Place of Refuge charges $10 per person to enter, which is not included in our tour cost. However, they do honor current National Park passes. At Ohana Private Car, we specialize in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. Our private tours are customized to your interests and preferences, and we go above and beyond to ensure that every moment of your tour is enjoyable and memorable. Price includes transportation and Hawaii General Excise Tax Fee. Food, beverage, and site entrance/tour fees are not included. For pick-up within 30 miles of Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA), rental time will begin at time of pick-up. A fee of $25 will be added for travel of 121-220 miles from pick-up location. A fee of $50 will be applied to trips over 220 miles from pick-up location. For pick-up more than 30 miles from KOA, rental time and miles calculations will begin when your vehicle reaches 30 miles from KOA.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. In the event that you need to cancel your trour, we offer the following cancellation policy: 1. Cruise ship passangers needing to cancel due ship itenerary changes or inabaility to access port are entitled to a full refund less a $25 processing fee. 2. Cancelation of trip more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time is entitled to full refund less a $25 processing fee. 3. Cancelation of trip less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time is entitled to 50% refund. We strive to process refunds promptly.
